Over the past period, we have dedicatedly managed the project and overseen the large-scale renovation of this iconic youth center.<\/p>\n<p>What began in 1989 as <em>De Box<\/em> \u2014 a new home base for young people after the closure of <em>De Baken<\/em> \u2014 has since evolved into a fully-fledged core stage of national significance. Over the years, <em>Het Podium<\/em> has continued to innovate and expand, and with this extensive renovation, another major step forward has been taken.<\/p>\n<p>The renovation, which began last summer, has resulted in a completely renewed building that welcomes all genres and generations. Think of improved acoustics, optimal audience facilities, and a fresh, contemporary interior. Together with the design team and the client, the focus has been on future-proofing, sustainability, and experience.<\/p>\n<p>On May 23, 2025, <em>Het Podium<\/em> was officially reopened with a festive celebration. Concerts started immediately afterward, marking the return of <em>Het Podium<\/em> to full operation. <em>Chef\u2019Special<\/em> had the honor of being the first band to perform on May 28, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>It is truly special to have contributed to a place with such cultural significance \u2014 for Hoogeveen, the north of the Netherlands, and far beyond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We proudly look back on the official completion of Het Podium in Hoogeveen on Friday, April 25!
