Tim de Jong
Projectmanager
What makes the life of a project manager so rewarding? Every project is defined by a new environment and new people. Teams that, although they haven’t always chosen each other, have to learn to work together optimally. This applies to clients, consultants, and contractors alike. That’s my job.
What was one of the best decisions you made in your life? TEST
One of the best decisions I ever made was in 1978: choosing not to finish my HAVO education and instead fully committing to a degree in Construction Engineering.
What would you like to contribute to the world?
Problem-solving is often hindered by the question of blame, by the tendency to first translate problems into monetary terms, and, of course, by personal interests.
This applies to the major geopolitical issues in the world, to the challenges in our own living environment, and also to the problems we encounter in our day-to-day work on projects. I like to advocate for nuance and argue that our energy should primarily be focused on solving the problem.
